Tools for Digital Humanities: GIS software (QGIS)
This online session is a very short introduction to the possibilities of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in the humanities. How is GIS software used in humanities projects, what functionalities are available in GIS tools, and how do I get started with it? This session includes a short demonstration of the free open source tool QGIS.
The presentation will take approximately 30 minutes, including some time for questions. It will be held in English, unless the attendees are all native Dutch speakers.
This online demo is the last in a series of five short introductions to digital humanities tools. See the workshop calendar for more details.
