De Library of Science organiseert een Engelstalige webinar over de financieringsmogelijkheden voor open access publiceren. Die zijn de afgelopen jaren toegenomen en kunnen helpen als je funding organisatie eist dat je publicatie wereldwijd gratis in open access beschikbaar komt.
We informeren je over de OA-deals die door de Vereniging van Nederlandse Universiteiten (VSNU) met o.a. Elsevier en ACS zijn gesloten. In welke tijdschriften en onder welke voorwaarden kun je als wetenschapper van de Radboud Universiteit zonder extra kosten in open access publiceren en welke kortingsmogelijkheden zijn er?
De korte presentatie wordt verzorgd door UB open access officer Jeroen Bos en Gonny Kremers, bibliothecaris voor FNWI.
Er wordt ook ingegaan op zgn. Predatory Publishers; open access uitgevers waarvan de kwaliteit dubieus is. Hoe herken je ze? Waar vind je meer informatie?

The Library of Science will organize an English spoken webinar on the possibilities for financing open access publications. Over the past few years, these have grown in number and they can be useful when your funding organization demands that your publication appears free of charge in open access, all over the world.
We will inform you in more detail on the OA deals made by the Association of Universities in the Netherlands (VSNU) with, among others, Elsevier and ACS. In which journals and under which conditions can you, as a Radboud University scientist, publish in open access without extra costs and which discount opportunities are there?
The brief presentation will be taken care of by open access officer Jeroen Bos and Gonny Kremers, Library of Science librarian.
One of the topics to be addressed will be so-called Predatory Publishers: open access publishers, whose quality is doubtful. How can you recognize them? Where can you find more information?
