Publish or Perish: searching & metrics
Publish or Perish is free software that allows you to search in different databases and generates all kinds of metrics from those databases. For example, you will not only find the H-index of an author, but also, for example, the G-index, number of citations per paper, per author and per year. You will also find sources other than just articles, such as book chapters, books, reports, theses and conference proceedings.
We will give an online demonstration about this program.

Publish or Perish maakt gebruik van meerdere databronnen, zoals Google Scholar, Crossref, Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed en Microsoft Academic. Hierdoor krijg je een breder beeld dan wanneer je bv. alleen in Web of Science zoekt: je ziet dan enkel de H-index, en enkel de artikelen van die auteur. Boeken, boekhoofdstukken en andere bronnen zitten immers niet in Web of Science.
