Adobe Illustrator basics (FNWI)

Adobe Illustrator basics (FNWI)

During this workshop, you will learn the basics of Illustrator and you will make (a start with) your own scientific poster. We focus on creating shapes that can be used for e.g. your Table of Content illustration or a scientific poster. We do not focus on creating professional graphic designs, though this webinar is a basis for that. Prior knowledge on Adobe Illustrator is not necessary!

Note: if you just like to make a flashy poster and have no knowledge of Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop, please realise it takes a lot of time to get to know this program. You might consider using Canva: a free, web-based program with lots of possibilities as well as templates to help you get started.

To work with AI on a private computer:
- RU-employees can work with remote desktop: https://www.ru.nl/ict-uk/staff/working-off-campus/remote-desktop-windows/ (please contact the ICT department if you experience problems).
- Students cannot get it for free. They can buy it with a discount on Surfspot: https://www.surfspot.nl/adobe-creative-cloud-met-services-student.html
