Conducting a (systematic) review (workshop 2 of 2)

During the second workshop (room EOS 01.740) for Phd students of the Nijmegen School of Management you will learn more about systematic searching and systematic reviews. After the meeting you know how to set up a systematic search. We strongly advise you to also join the first meeting (May 23) if you want to participate in the second workshop.

Preparation:

1) Search for systematic reviews about your own research topic.

2) Report your search as transparently as possible (PRISMA Checklist for Reporting Literature Searches).

3) Read the method section of the reviews you found and try to evaluate on the process of conducting a systematic review (AMSTAR quality assessment for Systematic Reviews).

Be aware of the different types of reviews. A systematic review is just one of the different review types. See for more information: Sutton A, Clowes M, Preston L, Booth A. Meeting the review family: exploring review types and associated information retrieval requirements. Health Info Libr J. 2019 Sep;36(3):202-222. doi: 10.1111/hir.12276.
