Content of the workshop

We will cover the following topics in this workshop:

• Create an EndNote Library;
• Add references to your library;
• Export from databases into EndNote;
• Find and link full-text articles (pdf) to your references in EndNote;
• Insert citations in Microsoft Word: “Cite While You Write”;
• Make a reference list of your literature.

Necessary preparations

Make sure EndNote 20 is installed on your laptop:

• Download EndNote from the website science.ru > see this link Index of /science/EndNote (ru.nl)
• You can request EndNote via the ICT Service Desk by sending an email to icthelpdesk@ru.nl. Send this email from your Radboud University email address and specify whether you need EndNote for Windows or Apple.

Location & duration

The workshop is online, a Microsoft Teams link will be shared before the workshop.

Duration of the workshop is approximately up to an hour.

Although this workshop is primarily intended for staff and students of the Nijmegen School of Management, students and researchers from other faculties are welcome as well.

By default the language spoken during the workshop will be English, unless the attendants are all native Dutch speakers.

Inhoud van de workshop:

In deze workshop behandelen we de volgende onderwerpen:

• Maken van een EndNote-library;
• Toevoegen van references in EndNote;
• Exporteren vanuit databases naar EndNote;
• Koppelen van full-tekstartikelen aan referenties in EndNote;
• Citaties invoegen in Microsoft Word;
• Maken van een literatuurlijst vanuit je referenties.

Benodigde voorbereiding:

Zorg ervoor dat EndNote 20 is geïnstalleerd op uw laptop:

• U kunt EndNote aanvragen via de ICT Servicedesk door een e-mail te sturen naar icthelpdesk@ru.nl. Stuur deze e-mail vanaf je E-mailadres van de Radboud Universiteit en geef aan of je EndNote nodig hebt voor Windows of Apple.

Locatie & duur

De workshop wordt gehouden via Microsoft Teams; enkele uren voorafgaand ontvangen de deelnemers een link. De workshop duurt ongeveer een uur.

De workshop is primair bedoeld voor studenten en medewerkers van de Nijmegen School of Management, maar studenten en onderzoekers van andere faculteiten zijn ook van harte welkom.

De voertaal is Engels, behalve als er alleen Nederlandssprekende deelnemers aanwezig zijn.
