Radboud Data Repository - Archiving & Publishing
How to publish or archive your collection in the Radboud Data Repository (RDR)? This question is central to this workshop. In 90 minutes, the RDM support team will teach you the practical steps involved and the best practices surrounding archiving and publishing in the RDR. The information provided will help you maximise the visibility, accessibility and reusability of your datasets.
The workshop discusses the steps involved in archiving and publishing your collection, from preparing your collection, throught the different review stages, to the actual publishing or archiving. Furthermore, it provides information on the access levels and licences the RDR provides. In an interactive part of the session, you will be shown what your published collections can look like and how people can access your data.
Required materials: Please bring your own laptop for the interactive parts of this course.
Note that not all researchers at Radboud University can create their own collections in the RDR. You can only do so if your research institute has joined the RDR, see for a full lists here (under 'step 2'). If you work at another institute, you can still collaborate on collections created by other researchers. Students of these institutes/faculties can only use the RDR when they are added to a collection of their supervisor. The focus of this lecture lies mainly on archiving and publishing your own collections, so you can expect this course to be the most usefull if your research institute has joined the RDR. If you do not have your own collection (e.g when you are added as a contributor to an existing collection), you are still welcome to join!
