Problems in the publishing world: paper mills & peer review mills

Problems in the publishing world: paper mills & peer review mills

Disturbing phenomenons arise in the scientific world: paper mills and peer review mills undermine the academic publication process and as such, research as a whole. What are they and what can we do? In this presentation we will explain how these ‘mills’ work, why you need to pay extra attention when using or publishing academic papers and how you can do that.

This presentation is part of the Library of Science – Bibliobites. Check out our other presentation regarding ‘Problems in the publishing worlds’ about predatory publishers.

The meeting takes place in the Huygens Building, Library of Science.
