Basics of GenAI

Basics of GenAI

The use of generative AI in education and research is a topic full of possibilities and challenges. In this 1-hour session, organized by the University Library, we will introduce the basics of generative AI tools like ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot and discuss how (and if) you can use them responsibly. We’ll take a closer look at how these tools work, share tips for crafting better prompts* with the PREPARE model, and highlight where to find resources for further exploration. Whether you are a student or a teacher, this session will provide practical insights to help you navigate this rapidly evolving field.

This presentation is hosted in the Library of Science. If you cannot find the room, ask our hostess at the service desk.

* A prompt is the text or question you give to an AI tool to tell it what you want it to do or answer.
