Open Science: preregistration of research

Open Science: preregistration of research

Preregistration involves documenting your research plan at the start of your study and storing it in a public, read-only repository. It is a key open science practice. Submitting your research plan to a registry enables others to review your hypotheses, thereby increasing the transparency and quality of your research.

By registering the study design and analysis plan beforehand, researchers can reduce the risk of this bias by ensuring that the study is evaluated based on its quality and rigor rather than just the outcome.
