Do you want to save time collecting, organising, and citing your literature? Zotero, a user-friendly and open-source reference manager, can make your writing process smoother than ever. Join our hands-on, one-hour workshop and discover how Zotero can become your essential research partner. Note: Students, researchers, and teachers from other faculties are also welcome to join this workshop.
What you’ll learn
By the end of this workshop you will be able to:
- Choose and apply your preferred citation style
- Add journal articles, books, and other sources to your Zotero library in just one click
- Organise and manage your literature efficiently
- Cite sources while you write in Word (and other compatible tools)
- Automatically generate bibliographies
- Search and navigate your Zotero collection with ease
Before the workshop
Please make sure the following are installed on your device:
- Zotero desktop application (https://www.zotero.org/support/installation)
- Browser connector/plugin (https://www.zotero.org/download/)
- Word plugin (if it did not install automatically; https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_installation)
- (Optional) Zotero account, which enables cloud backup and synchronisation (https://www.zotero.org)

Practical information
- Location: Usually on campus in the Elinor Ostrom Building (EOS). A remote workshop via MS Teams is also possible. The exact location or link will be shared before the workshop.
